It gives me hope because a book that is against the predominant force of multiculturalism managed to sell so well. It goes to show that there is still some room for dissent.

Except she isn't. Her work is actually pushing boundaries as opposed to most of the shit being published today. Her focus on the minutiae of modern life is akin to what Proust did the In Search of Lost Time, except for the modern age. Her brief snippets are a reflection of the modern mind, where to many a six book meditation on any subject seems absurd.
Please, tell me what is clearly superior these days.
