The story goes, that this book was left by an /x/phile's grandfather, and for the past week, /x/ has been trying to read what it says.

Individual repeating characters have been identified, transcribed and assigned substitute letters.

Quipquip.com is an online cryptogram solver which, with some help, can be pretty useful for checking possible letter substitutes.

Based on the possibility of this being written in coded English, we've figured out the characters for t, h and e, as seen in pictures below.

Let's give them a helping hand, guys!

Here is a picture of the 5 pages, and there transcribed characters (ignore the coloured boxes, they're just to signify some repeating big rams, ect), and here are the character substitutes for quip quip.

The grandfather had possible Freemason ties, and his family moved to America from Germany around 200 years ago.

/x/ is full of sad people who WANT to believe in the paranormal. They roleplay all day in their sad little fantasy worlds and are also known for making shit up and this 'code' might as well be one of those roleplaying circlejerking games.
Good luck with your sad games, autists

>>
>>8076733

That thing looks brand spanking new. Also looks like it was forged from some leftover chain mail that you can buy or easily make.

/x/ is known for perpetuating hoaxes, forcing memes & attracting all manner of feeble minded schizos. Take anything you find there with a grain of salt & spare yourselves the indignity.

It's clearly a mail book/

we already have an unsolved fun riddle. it's called the Voynich Manuscript, and it wasn't made out of steel wool by some faker from /x/.
>>
That's not even mail, it's just interlocked rings. That thing is also not more than 10 years old, and it was a waste of time to make.

People need to learn how to make actual mail if they're going to do this.

don't think anyone claimed that the book itself is 200 years old

neat idea though. i think i might do something like this when i am old and grey, for my descendants to find. it will provide a clue to the location of my secret hoard of gold, limited edition POGs and shemale porn
