Does Baltasar Gracian count as self help? I know Schopenhauer and Nietzsche praised him for his down to earth approach so to speak, but I haven't read him yet.

This book is a masterpiece, and better than La Rochefoucauld's Thoughts in so many ways...

I must read "El Criticón", but I'm afraid my Spanish is not at barroque level.
