I quit gaming recently too, I've got much more energy nowadays and feel much better.
Defenitly worth it.
I've been reading a lot into New Age-y stuff before, so none of the ideas in Siddartha were new to me. It's actually my least favourite Hesse book.
I don't know if I could classify any of the books I've read as "life-changing". They all improve my life one bit at a time, but none really stand out for any particular reason.
The closest would be a collection of Oscar Wilde fairy tales I read when I was 16/17, because that's what got me into literature. Or Lolita, because it opened my eyes for beautiful prose and poetry.
