"Infinite Jest shows
David Foster Wallace sucks
really, really bad."

Is he right?

Does this guy even like books
>>
I'm not sure the guy likes anything. His YouTube channel is just him shitting on everything from Steven Spielberg to James Joyce to David Foster Wallace.
>>
>>7999616
His favorite author is Vonnegut.
>>
>>7999496
Infinite Jest is awful, with the exception of Incandenza's filmography.
>>
You should have posted this much longer review instead: http://www.cosmoetica.com/B1349-JH1.htm

Steven spielberg sucks. Dinosaurs are juvenile. Tom hanks i have no time for.
>>
another failed writer turned critic
>>
>>7999616
Spielberg is extremely overrated. He's obviously wrong about Joyce, though. Maybe he just thinks a lot of the experiments in Ulysses were failures
>>
>>7999944
tl;dr. Dude is super negative, like an angry child with nothing positive to say.

Yeah man, we need to get all these bad vibes out of literary criticism. Literature is all about love, and we should learn to respect every book we read.
>>
>>8000481
As evidenced by 4chan, being negative is easy. I could compellingly shit on all my favorite authors and films and music, and make it sound much better than this guy's rants. Actually liking things and talking about their virtues requires you to risk face, which weak betas are naturally never willing to do.

i have recently discovered this guy too.

pillaged his site for lesser known poet recs but i wouldn't pluck a single hair for his narcissistic "opinions".

the guy declared that he quit writing poetry years ago because he felt too much like a god.

i'm not even joking. he literally said that. he says delusional shit like that all the time.

cheers for the recs bruv but i'm done w/ you.

I actually enjoy this guy's interviews. They're usually with interesting people and on interesting topics. The sound quality in the video interviews is almost always kind of shit, though.
