OP here. I saw them both at a BN today so I actually thumbed through them both and compared them. I didn't get a total close look but just as the titles suggest, I guess the "complete works" has more content than the "collected works", so if true (I don't know, hence the thread!) then LEFT has more stuff.

Also my experience with Hackett has been good. Not that anyone cares but I minored in philosophy in college and for shorter stuff, Hackett was the department's go-to. I have a thing of like five dialogues from the old 101 class.

Each one's like 50+ god-damn dollars full retail, but I can knock a bunch off that. Even amazon has both in 30-50 territory depending on exactly what you want.

Pages were fairly thin. They "handle" like literal bibles.

Anyhow this thread has fulfilled its purpose, confirming what I suspected. cheers.
