David Foster Wallace tends to use the same sort of phrases (I guess that's what you'd call them) in everything he writes which are entirely exclusive to himself. E.g. w/r/t, viz. (hes the only one who uses it in a non-scholarly application). He also wanted to fuck David Lynch, or more likely get dominated by him in a Lynchian manner (goddammit this chapter is ridiculous).
