anybody read rant by chuck palahniuk? thoughts?

I read it. I was pretty neutral about it.
What does /lit/ think of Palahniuk in general?
Like most people I became too cool for him but I liked his stuff when I was in high school.

Probably my favorite by him.

Rant is his best.

His books are all the same. In HS I stole each book from B&N & read them while cutting class / school (usually w/a girl I had a crush on). I know, right?
Rant is his only book that transcends his schtick. Fight Club (obv) is the original, and is god damn good. It's as good as anything poster-boy Wallace wrote (maybe better) but has become so mainstream & associated w/edge that /lit/ doesn't want to associate w/it.
Anyway, Rant & Fight Club are pretty great, but see for yourself.

This is the only answer. High school is where he should stay.

So 90% of /lit/?

Please, anon...please. You're embarrassing yourself in front of that semen demon.

Yes.

Girls don't give a fuck about books you mong.

Fight Club is a decent babby's first existentialism novel but most of what you see on /lit/ is better than it.

>existentialism
Hahaha stop, please.

It's the best of his mediocre collection. Worth a readthrough if you're looking to say "What the fuck" a few times, then laugh and move on.
