Watch movies that take place in the midwest and try to imitate specific lines while focusing on reproducing the cadence and enunciation. Euro accent isn't that bad, there are so many different european immigrant communities throughout the midwest that it's very common to hear. Worst thing about my accent is that I have incredible trouble with trilled/rolled r's. Fucking plays havoc with my japanese, I dread saying words with multiple r's like 見られる or ジロジロ見る. I hope I get better over the years but I fear I'll sound like a retard forever. That sound is common in every language I've studied, too.

I mean sure, some of them are. But the Southern accent probably has the broadest range of accents in the US. Someone from the appalachian part of North Carolina (if we're even counting that as the south) would sound very different from someone from the non-appalachian part of, Georgia, for example.
There are some God-tier Southern accents, but if you think they're shit you're probably just too conditioned by HollyJew to realize how beautiful they can sound.

normal mid american broadcast english is fine and a bit of upper midwest flavor can be cute, but west texas is the clear best american dialect. Just southern enough for character, but far enough away to not sound retarded.
