Not really; the second clause needs to work as an independent sentence, e.g.:

Which gives the reader some information about textbooks. Alternatively, you can do away which the semicolon, i.e.:

This results in a sentence wherein the type of textbooks is specified. The two sentences are quite different in meaning, but I’m not sure which one you wanted to use.
