What do you guys think? What is Chucks best work

I want to chuckle while I choke Chuck the cuck.

Rant is interesting. Fight club is great when you're seventeen. Lullabye was hard to trudge through, reading snuff was like getting gayraped. Survivor was painful. Then I discovered /lit/ and decent writers.

This. Same goes to Bret Easton Ellis too.

definitely not that

>comes up with stupid plot device while taking a shit at 2 am
>dude, what if, the main character pretended to choke
>makes a novel based around that one stupid idea
>oh and throw something about addiction into every book
Fight Club was alright. I haven't read it since high school though

That's not what the novel was based around, desu.
His boner of hatred for the stagnant upper middle class consumer culture get's boring after a while. Reading "Haunted" right now, and he has good images, good ideas for scenes, but then he takes them in dumb directions to be edgy. Feels like a kid hanging out in front of Hot Topic in Iowa wearing a Goth ensemble trying to convince the world he's "hard core."

yes, literally this - things that could be good get overshadowed by his need to shit on consumerism, which is basically like teenage-level social criticism but it's the only "angle" he knows
I liked Fight Club when I read it at 16. I think that pretty much sums up Palahniuk
