No, aside from a few good poets, the English have pretty weak literature. The reverence English lit receives, if you think about it for five seconds, is easily traceable to colonialism. Because of this, Shakespeare, while good, is the most overrated writer who ever lived.

And my post was trying to tell you that you're putting the cart in front of the horse. a book will take you an average of x days depending on your reading speed. it's better that you just pick books that seem interesting than you to make some "good books from this y book" from random plebs on the internet.
