How many pages do you read per day? Or how long do you spend reading daily (on average)?

I have managed to work my way up to nearly 50 pages per day over the past year. Takes me longer than I care to admit. Some days I manage 100. I read very casually before, about a book a month so this has been a slow progression. Fifty pages per day still doesn't feel like nearly enough though

Do you realize how uninteresting and worthless of a question that is ?
>>
70-120 since Xmas. I used to read 50-80 before
>>
Three to five hundred, generally.
>>
I don't count. I read as much as I fancy.

But don't you think it's useful to have a target in mind?

I see we're having a nice, civilized discussion on Ulysses.

There's always one dude who rages at these threads, OP.

~40 pages a day will finish nearly any book in 2 weeks maximum. It is the very minimum required to actually be reading the book and not just owning it and touching the pages.

too weak to get off the computer and read
>>
>>7688922
I'd rather be thinking about what I'm reading rather than how much of it I intend to read.
>>
yo what the FUCK happened to the flaneur thread?
>>
>>7688861
I read about an hour during the day, about 45 minutes in the bath, and about an hour before I go to bed.

Page counts depend on material.

Depends on what I'm reading. With fiction I try to limit myself to ~2 hours. Otherwise I won't remember to sleep. With non-fiction I just read till I fall asleep.

Sometimes I'll read through a good fraction of a day, but mostly I just try to read at least 40 minutes a day, just to get me started. It helps to set an alarm.
>>
400 a day is my current goal. I'm doing well so far.
>>
>>7688861

140 pages in 4 hours per day, but not every single day
>>
About an hour on the bus, I'd read in the morning on the way but fuck I'm a zombie. Trying to up my attention span so I read at home, but not much luck with it.

I still power through books though.
