Horribly contrived for an American audience, especially towards the end. Pretty cool as an image of what pre taliban Afghanistan was like at the beginning though:
6/10, worth reading but wouldn't read again.

It's ok, the actual prose was nothing to write home about but it was kind of interesting to see Taliban Afghanistan. The kind of book you read on holiday and pretty much forget everything about it afterwards.
