Yea sure, the dude was a bit loopy. But he was such a prolific writer. He would write 97 words per minute (the max his early electronic typewriter could handle) and take drugs and stay up all night binge writing. He was also a captain in the navy, for a short time. And a legit photographer with pictures published in National Geographic. Not to mention he started a huge religious cult. You gotta admit, the guy accomplished some serious shit in his lifetime.
