I saw the movie first actually, still enjoying the book. Although I will admit I am envisioning it narrated by Johnny Depp still.

I saw the movie first and when I tried reading the book I had to give up after only a few pages because they're literally identical.

I read it in a few sittings while high. I took it with me and went on long walks outside during a cold winter. The book's fucking great.

the movie dialogue stay true to the book so i'm in no rush.
probably the only case where a movie spoiled it for me, no prob

The movie was an excellent adaption, Gilliam really was perfect for it. I enjoyed the book more though because it had more of Thompsons hilarious monologues and made the story more coherant

Better than Las Vegas. Same with The Great Shark Hunt. I didn't really dig Hell's Angels though
