the translation is not that bad,but i agree it is terrible at times
>>
I have yet to actually read any. From what I understand they're mostly targeted towards young-adults, so I'm guessing they're pretty much garbage.
>>
Index is my favorite. I don't read much else desu. I prefer mango
>>
all you need is kill is very good the time travel reminds me of borges
>>

some are garbage some are not, these days ligth novels are know as light novels for its simplistic prose but it does not automatically mean it is shit, there is some good storys to be found ,problem is they are heavily tied with the otaku culture,so if you not into the whole culture think you are probably going to hate light novels
>>
Light novels have no discernible value. They are also against the rules to post on /lit/.

Mods, lock this thread.

all you need is kill is ok, but the movie added humor and made it much better.

from the same publisher, i'd recommmend yukikaze and the ourobouros wave.

Lock your ass, tremendous faggot just show me where it says that is against the rules.
>>
They are shit for manchildren. Like literal picture books for grown men.
>>7618795

Kino no Tabi is basically "existentialism for dummies". It's good though, and the anime is even better.
