His foreign policy invariably boils down to "lol Western imperialism did it" and his last contribution to the myopic left was the denigration of behavioralist politicization in the '60s; however, outside of linguistics he's been just as bad as behavioralists in propagating inane postmodern thought (i.e. IQ denialism in a number of ways).
He is the quintessential academic that espouses dogmatic, borderline lunatic views.
