His only good book (and it's a rather damn good book, if I do say so myself) is Norwegian Wood. Everything else by him is much different however and should be avoided.
start with after dark. it can be read in a day and gives you a feel for how he writes and how his stories tend to go.
after that, his best are kafka on the shore, norwegian wood, and the wind-up bird chronicle
kafka is a little different from the rest in that it feels more supernatural, but my favorite
murakami is pretty comfy to read so enjoy
