What's your favourite subject, /lit/, and what three books would you recommend as a start to them?

Mine is Psychoanalysis.

2.Routledge introduction to Jaques Lacan

If you're getting into Lacan, I'd recommend Bruce Fink's 'The Lacanian Subject - Between Language and Jouissance'.

It's brilliant. For Freud, Jonathan Lear has written a decent introduction on Freud-as-philosopher which I enjoyed when I started out.

It's been placed on my wishlist.
I must ask, is Zizeks guide on how to read Lacan any good?
