I liked this one better than Ironweed. Probably due to subject matter. I prefer gamblers and gangsters to alcoholic hoboes. But Francis Phelan does make a cameo appearance in BPGG. He's Billy Phelan's father. Ironweed was a sequel to Billy Phelan's Greatest Game.
