How the fuck do you force yourself to read for any longer than half an hour? At a certain point, I just can't read any more words. They don't even register. How do you focus?
adderal
how long have you been regularly reading? like anything else it is a skill that requires repetitiveness to improve. Your reading stamina should increase the more you read
just make the half hour mark your ten minute break, digest the material, then return for another half hour.

don't do this.

Do it pussy!
>born in 1986
>no regular internet connection until age 15
>attention span not entirely corrupted before puberty
although it is getting worse :/

Shit, really. I don't know how younger generations will ever manage to focus. I put off having a cellphone even until 21. Had regular computer access back in the Commodore days, but that wasn't really like internet access today. My concentration keeps getting worse. Have to force it back.

lol and /lit/ really does not help

Practice. Meditation can help stretch your attention span.
To be fair though, even people who can easily sit down and focus for hours retain way less effectively after about 45 minutes of sustained concentration. It's actually ideal to take breaks.

Git gud
Helps to read shit that you enjoy senpai. There's been quite a few classics that I couldn't read for long duration because of the density or they were just boring.
Maybe get your doc to write you a rx for speed.

this. why do you force yourself to read if you don't enjoy it?
>>7553151
it's like getting high and playing mario kart. It's just a fun thing to do while under the influence of that drug. Nobody said anything about not enjoying themselves
