First time I read this, I noticed that there was an obvious typo in it ("when" changed to "wehn").
Blew my mind.

OP reminds me of a Russian girl I went on a few dates with. I was kind of crazy about her, she was perfect and had an amazing body which I never did get to fully see.
She was an englit/Envirosci double major that could speak russian and had the most lovely accent/voice... And oddly enough she lived in Israel for a number of years. I was a bum though, no job, no prospects, and a useless education. I also had pretty bad acne at the time.
Over the last year since our last date I've been reading so much Russian /lit/ and I always think about the discussions I could have had with her. Makes me kind of sad. She wanted 3+ children. I dream of having a family everyday, but my current gf might be infertile (endomitriosis).

It can motivate you to improve or to self destruct If you're extremely unstable. Luckily I feel most of us aren't that unstable. Most of just keep chugging along because there's always more to experience though. (I feel like females take it as a negative though and males tend to ultimately grow from the experience.)

Barthelme is great. I never see him mentioned on /lit/ though. That's probably for the best.
This one is my favorite of his.

Chills. What a great writer.

Salinger pretty based. You can get a short book 'three early stories' (different to the leaked/unpublished 'three stories' you can get online illegally) which I quite like, it's three pieces he published in magazines before he was very famous and his estate sort of forgot about them so some small publisher was able to nab the rights and publish them a couple years back. Still waiting on the supposed volumes of unpublished work that's meant to be released in the next few years.
Kjell Askildsen is probs my fav short story writer though, then Breece D'J Pancake and Katherine Mansfield. Never see much discussion about them on /lit/

I would shame her if you know what I mean. (And by that I mean making her have a goy son with a Jewish soul.)
