A friend's older brother had that album. I haven't listened to it in years, but remember enjoying it when I was a child. Are you familiar with Rick Wakeman's Journey to the center of the Earth?

No but I'll give it a listen. If you're interested you really should listen to War of the Worlds, it's all up on youtube. It has everything from cheesy 70s prog to genuinely depressing parts with Richard Burton hamming it up.

I loved this but ive only listened once.
I tried listening to his sons "remix" of the album and honestly felt like it was sullying the original and coudnt finish it

nvm it was his own re imaging, not his son. But my opinion still stands

the 'George Lucas Remix' edition was horrible, but luckily it didn't impact the original. Everyone still remembers the real Jeff Wayne version

I'm listening to it now. Gotta love that disco rhythm in the first track. That sound was made for roller boogie.

>tfw you know you're listening to 70s B-list celebs making one last grasp
>tfw it's actually really fucking good

Sufjan Stevens is doing an Infinite Jest album, comes out next year, so that'll probably top it.
