What does /lit/ think of the cover for Infinite Jest's twentieth anniversary edition?
I liked the clouds better.
I don't think this new cover really 'fits.'
But I don't absolutely hate it.
i guess it goes with the white covers of consider the lobster and the pale king
the clouds were iconic though w.t.f.
this looks like a tom robbins book
I think the new cover relates the contents of the book too close to the surface.
The book is nominally about entertainment, but I think the clouds better fit the overall 'feel' of the book. They did a better job of conveying the enormity of it too.

Anyone else having their eyes drawn to the f and i that fused together?

>translations into a shit-tier language
God, what a mediocre cover. They may as well put a still from that jesse eisenberg movie on the front.
At least I already have an unread copy sitting on my shelf. It's a nice conversation piece.
lol somebody shop up an end of the tour tie-in version of infinite jest

It's just a ligature. That's what's done professionally when a lowercase f and i are next to each other. Look in any given book in English.

You seem to have the wrong opinion there senpai
all the covers suck to be quite honest with you my family

I'm planning to buy the spanish version of it, but DFW used to hate translations and I'm agree with him

What? They actually picked that one? Out of all the great entries they picked that shit?
>>7513841
it was a typical competition rigged by jews.
nothing to see here.
>>7511374
Not good, but the original cover is shit. At least this is a little better.
>>7513841
Where can I look at the other entries?
It suits the novel's content, but not its scope.

>shit tier language
fucking fascist, only Anglo countries have the rigth to access culture productions? fuck you
Everyone who was going to read this book already has. It'll be forgotten in 5 years.

Do not mix your portuguese with mine, please.

This was my thought exactly. I remember several posted here that were pretty good. This shit looks like a placeholder.
