What do you guys get out of reading literature?
I read occultic stuff and a little bit of philosophy but I just cannot get into fiction about stories. I like to read about ideas and magick and real stuff but like I just can't get into fiction.
Maybe I should read some philosophy but man I just can't get into fiction garbage.

I feel like the stuff that I read makes me become a much better human overall. There is nothing wrong with being well read. I am well read just not well read in literary circles and I have always felt left out. I am well read in terms of different genres than others but extremely well read.

You should look up cock ESP. They are a noise band similar to the gerogeregege, hanatarashi etc. They do a bunch of fucked up stage antics like shitting on the floor and burning their dicks. Theres also a semi attractive girl in the band.

Well it's a very different reading experience even if you know it's fake.
As to why one would read fiction literature, it all boils down to entertainment. Different strokes for different folks, but that's the reason at the basic level. If fiction literature doesn't entertain you, then don't even bother.
Fiction has been surpassed by modern mediums, sure. When it comes to non-fiction and learning books are of course the king, but there are so many ways to experience stories nowadays that it's sometimes hard to read fiction (personally I've always had an admiration for comics as a perfect medium).
