I'm a bit over due for a reread now that I think about it. Though remember that you are by no means obligated to finish the whole series. It really starts to kick the highfalutin ruminations into overdrive in the later books. Still fun though if you're into that sort of thing.
Pretty good book desu, I was going to reread it but decided to plow on with the series. The next book's alright, I think Herbert's writing improved between Dune and Dune Messiah but it really isn't as "holyshitthisissoawesome" as the first book.
