Hey /lit/ (my first time posting here by the way)
I'm looking to get into reading out of these books which one is a good starting point? I like introspective shit, so if i could get a recommendation for one of that criteria it would be cool.

The Recognitions, Women and Men, and The Lime Twig are good choices. :^)

>HHGG ranked above The Iliad.
Why do I even go to this shitty website.

I started with GR when I first started browsing here. It's amazing tbqh.
I'd recommend some of the books on this list. You said you like introspective shit, so I'd check out The Stranger, Notes from Underground, The Catcher in the Rye, The Metamorphosis, and Siddhartha. Other anon's may say to read Stoner, but I can't personally recommend it as I have not read it yet.
There's a newer one

Try Borges
Ignore 'Top 100' charts for starting out.
I recommend 'Siddharta' by Hermann Hesse; 'Apology' by Plato; 'Zorba the Greek' by Kazantzakis; 'Storm of Steel' by Junger; and 'The Upanishads'.

Why'd you rename it? We know its on the front page of imgur

>that's is
Another question; is 'Lolita' a meme because of it's content? Or is it actually good?
>>7485274
Follow this anon advice. Also try The Stranger by Camus, maybe some Kafka.
>>7485501
Its so good its a meme.
Im serious.
>>7485501
Let's just say Lolita 100% anticipates people making a meme or generic assumption of its content and is maybe the most well-written novel ever.

it's a pretty old list actually. and the lists are just popularity contests instead of crafted "the best 100 novels".
