Damn, I remember I was reading this series, got through a few books, the last one when the main hero became a mason. It was five or six books in and I heard there were like ten. Sadly the rest weren't translated at that time to my mother tongue where I could comfortably read them and I eventually forgot about it.
Was it that bad? I can't recall. When I was a kid I read all kinds of trash and enjoyed it.

I read these books back in middle school and even then I could understand how absolutely terrible an author Goodkind is, and how obvious the anti-communist anti-government anti-religion themes were (I did not yet know about objectivism).
