the only course i've taken has been an introduction to ethics.
i had a phenomenal teacher, and the textbook was great.
for those of you who have taken more, or whom have earned a degree in philosophy, are there any specific textbooks you could recommend to me that i might use to teach myself?

do you mean source material or a textbook? i gotta admit that source material is difficult, it seems like the only source material i can tackle is stuff that translates well into english. i prefer a textbook with excerpts that focuses on the ideas within the works

ethics is the most sterile field of all.
since the enlightenment, it permits the intellectuals to dwell for hours in their abstractions/speculations without applying their statements because since the enlightenment, the thought experiment is taken as empirical data.
