Now that the Front Nationale is the great winner of the regional elections the socialists are actually doing what Houellebecq predicted: Throwing themselves at the feet of anyone who has somewhat of a chance of keeping the nationalists from power.
Is there any active author that is more of a visionary than Houellebecq?

At first I was fairly certain Hollaback was going over the top for the sake of satire, which he did effectively. But with how these recent elections have went, I'm unsure. Of course, there would need to be a Muslim party for the Socialists to align with, but I wouldn't wait long for that.
On the other hand, the FN success in some areas was very strong, with FN candidates taking 30-40% of the vote. I don't know if a combined Socialist/any party could make a clean sweep of the country with the FN foothold that strong. I think the socialists would probably end up with Ile de France and some other more liberal area, which would lead to a country divided situation rather than 1 dominant party.
