What happens when you finally finish that novel? When you're exhausted and used up and whatever hole it was supposed to fill didn't get filled? What then?

That seems like good advice stranger. I've never been any good at resting - I've been going full steam ahead trying to accomplish one dream after another for several years now, but this last one has destroyed me and I've been literally incapable of doing anything since I finished it. I guess I have no choice but to try to turn my brain off and relax.

That would be the dream. Right now, it seems like I could never put myself through that again, but we'll see how I feel after I've had a chance to decompress.
have you gotten drunk yet? the end and beginning of things is traditionally marked with drinking for good reason.
