Eh, I can appreciate Luhrmann's crazy grandiose scenes... the movie had it's moments, but all the CGI took the film out of its period for me. But it wasn't horrible, it had some good moments. I hated hearing Tobey narrating though.

PKD's book was god-awful, like all of his writing. He's a concept guy, and a great one at that, but when it comes to actually turning that concept into a story, he's the worst.
