About fifty pages into Inherent Vice, and I am shocked at how funny, and how much of a pageturner it is. I haven't enjoyed a book as much, or gotten through one as fast since A Confederacy of Dunces.

Check the archive. A few days ago or so some anon posted that the plot for Inherent Vice is actually Pet Sounds backwards. Checking the text and the lyric sheet for Pet Sounds, it holds up.
