Do lots of gay guys change their names to make them more fancy?
Most gay guys I knew on fb had names I'd never heard of before or added in their middle names as double barrels. One guy was called Andre (with accent on) yet came from Birmingham rather than France.

People with fancy names are likelier to come from artsy fartsy families that like to push all sorts of modern beliefs on their kids, including expressing emotions and breaking gender norms. Its not a stretch to assume they're more encouraged to be open with their gayness
