Thread died before I could give you nonna's recipe
2 lbs. Oxtail
1 large onion
1 med carrot
1 med bell pepper
1.5 cups crushed tomatoes
1/4 crushed fennel seeds
Red pepper flakes
Salt
Pepper
Take oxtail cover with oil, salt pepper and brown on mid high heat some 5 mins each side, throw in crock pot.
Chop onions, peppers and carrots and throw in pan and cook some 15 minutes. Then throw in chrushed tomatoes, and bring to a boil.
Add sauce in crockpot, fennel seeds, and crushed pepper flakes (one pinch should be enough, more if you like the heat) set to low and 8 hours later awesome!
We usually eat it over white rice :)
