Oh well I guess I left out the part where I'm more romantically inclined and did all the work in the relationship, but let his shitty treatment weigh on my self-worth when I realized that's just him. Like his whole life he hasn't fought for the people/things he cares about, whereas I did.
My point isn't so much base yourself on your career, but wether or not you've followed your heart. Even though I broke it off, I still faught hard for that relationship because love (as well as he did) matters a lot to me. I'm not gonna sit around and hope things change, and if I like someone I'll take the fall.
As opposed to just trying to flirt/fuck as many people as possible, leaving behind empty sexual memories and trust me. That's a lot worse on the deathbed than remembering the people you honestly devoted yourself to, or the wrongs you tried to right, or even the adventures you had. Though I suppose sex could count towards that later one, if that's ALL your life is, doesn't sound very fulfilling.
