I remember as a kid being taught by my dad to find men disgusting sexually.

I felt I had been feminine all my life, which is the upbringing part. I'm the middle son of 3 and I've always been the submissive one. Other than that, I've always been a complete pervert as well. So unlike many I am pretty sure I started straight and actually chose, due to circumstances, to become gay.
There are many large reasons why people become gay, and the broad answer is that society itself is becoming homogenous. We are, after all, parts of nature and when we flood our ecosystem with our seed, eventually we will forgo the need for reproduction and become asexual as a species. As an individual, that translates into homosexuality.
But yeah it was totally the trap porn.
