For a real answer, it widely depends on your defintion of "intersex". depending on how inclusive you want your definiton between .1% and 2% I would say. Although per some loose defintions (including hormonal intersex conditions) you get even higher numbers, as much as 5%.
I for one consider transitioned trans people to be artificially intersex.

That's not really that far off from the truth though. And the number of trans people seems to be towards the middle of estimates for the number of intersex people. They are very much comparable groups in numbers, and realities.
