Make the right kind of friends - the kind that will have your back. That would go for anyone, fag or no, because some of them would rape you and wouldn't care if you were a fag or not.
The all branches of the military are loaded with internal politics and mind games, and just because someone has on the same uniform as you doesn't mean they're your friend or will help you out.
