Any tips for transitioning when you're black?
I think black guys tend to look more masculine and make it harder to pass earlier before HRT.
>>
Honestly I think my arms are too builky-ish, so I'm trying to lean them down and just focus on cardio and hip training. My makeup skills are crap though, and I'm trying to find more help online to at least make my face seem a little more feminine. Other than those, I think there's a possibility that I could pass.
>>
>>5834824
yeah but black girls tend to look more masculine too so it evens out. And who cares about passing before HRT? Like I mean it's nice but it doesn't really matter in the long run
>>
One more pic just to show my face a little better

>>5834834
Most likely I won't be able to take HRT for a few years. I was thinking about taking some stuff like purifica just to increase estrogen within the next few months though.
>>
bump because reasons
>>
>>5834840
>HRT
You sure you can't do it under the radar like say 70% of femboys and mtfs here did in the beginning/are currently doing
>>
>>5834840
>Most likely I won't be able to take HRT for a few years. I was thinking about taking some stuff like purifica just to increase estrogen within the next few months though

The only thing that will make you look more fem before HRT is getting thinner and moisturizing.

I recommend:

Cutting your balls off
Taking finastride or minoxidil or anything that lowers DHT.
Suck it up, throw caution into wind and self med.

Trying to pass before HRT is silly simply because most girls cannot pull it off. You'd be to incredibly fem in the first place.
>>
I think it's possible to pass before HRT. With makeup at least. I see a lot of crossdressers that pass better than pre-hrt transgirls.
>>
>>5834840
You don't have such a masculine face. I think you will be able to (or can already) pass. Good luck, anon.
>>
Thanks =^^=

Really I'm just terrible at makeup though. I think it would help if I knew how to use it.
>>
>>5834840
0.5mg a day of bicalutamide will stop lots of masculinization.
>>
>>5836346
Would it be bad to take something to increase feminization while taking it at the same time?
>>
>>5836758
No, it just blocks most of the testosterone to DHT conversion in the body. If you want to increase feminization, go all the way, take AAs, and estrogen.
>>
>>5836346
Oops, I was mixing up bicalutamide and dutasteride. bicalutamide is a full blown T & DHT use blocker, and is taken at 50mg/day. dutasteride is taken at 0.5mg/day and will block conversion of T to DHT.

As always, it's best to do your own research. There are plenty of resources out there.
>>
>>5837192
Thanks so much ^^

Anyone got makeup tips?
>>
Just posting pictures for attention at this point. I want to get cuter.
>>
>>5834824
I think Cox did a good job transitioning, but the main problem with black mtf's is the broad shoulders.
>>
eh, cis black women look pretty masculine too. I'd be more worried about the whole murder thing.

>>5839591
cute. would be better if you had real hair
>>
>>5842619
>I'd be more worried about the whole murder thing.
In the US it's only really an issue if you live or are commonly in the ghetto or some other poor area. Upper middle class suburbia is relatively safe.
>>
>>5842619
Aww, thanks. And honestly that was the first time I was trying out that wig. It looks more natural now, but I'm putting some cash toward getting a wig made of real hair. At least until I get the confidence to grow my hair out.

>>5842689
I live on a college campus, but the only thing is that I like in the south. I really don't consider my college specifically a safe place to come out as trans while living on campus.
>>
>>5834824
>>5834833
Girl have some self respect and don't seek help from these racist faggots. Make some black trans friends elsewhere because there are only three of us here as of now.
>>
why cant you just get on hrt?

you'd do better to self medicate or something
>>
>>5844101
who are the 3?
>>
>>5844108
OP, blasian thickie and myself.

I remember six others from the time I first posted on here but they just left or became lurkers/stop posting pics.
>>
>>5844101
Honestly, I'm still pretty new to 4chan but I see some nice people on this thread who seem to help with resources. It's pretty hard for me to meet trans people in general, since I'm at a southern college. So far I've only met one other trans person, but I don't see them that much. Black trans people are practically non-existent here.

>>5844103
Still not out yet, and I can't get hrt on my own until I move off my parent's insurance.
>>
>>5844134
No Bitch, I mean online just not here. This is the online landscape of edgy racist fags.

How can you expect these people who don't even interact with us to give advice that's not thinly veiled insult or straight up wrong and racist?
>>
>>5844142
Pretty easy to filter them out.
>>
>>5844146
No need to put yourself through the trouble of filtering if you just don't muck through shit.
>>
>>5844166
What's the point of being here then?
>>
>>5844168
Not asking these people about anything having to do with black folks, I know that at least. They obviously show they can't control themselves or each other to be civil regarding us.
>>
>>5844179
Are you offering to give help then, or just warning?
>>
>>5844189
Both

I'm saying go on a website where we exist, are prominent and where folks like here will be banned if they say the bullshit they say itt.

The rules of transition and passing are damn near universal, race has very little to do with passing save for the fact that other people of different races without a lot of exposure are a bit "blind".

I know many White trans girls who don't pass to most people passing in black neighborhoods for example.
>>
>>5844118
oh
there are a couple others, me for instance
i've never posted photos here though
>>5844134
>Still not out yet, and I can't get hrt on my own until I move off my parent's insurance.
yeah you can
your medical records are sealed and private as an adult, and you can call your insurance to make sure and verify that they are
>get meds via your insurance
>dont tell your parents
>pay for your perscription yourself
>gradually take on a more androgynous appearance and demeanor
>present as female fulltime once you're independant
done

otherwise i would buy antiandrogens and just take those.

also, i would look up black beauty bloggers on youtube. I do my hair naturally, so im big into curlynikki and blackgirllonghair (those are regular blogs) but if you wanna get a weave or w/e thats fine too, just do your research

>>5844142
you'll want this for later, lol
>>
>>5844228
But sis at least you know not to post pics or ask them for help regarding us.

I don't get what OP was thinking :-/
>>
>>5844245
lol
i've been on 4chan since like 2008, so i learned my lesson YEAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRS ago, lol
this thread is surprisingly non-hostile, but yeah.
unfortunately, there isn't a really good alternative for black women aside from maybe Tumblr? and its pretty hugboxy/non-objective there, so it wouldn't be of much help anyway
>>
>>5844256
Bitch me too! That's why I gagged when I saw this, like how new can you be.

I recommend black trans tumblr, once you build a relationship and use the private message feature you'll get the help you need.
>>
>>5844245
Really it doesn't phase me that much. Yeah there are bad comments, but there are usually people like you guys too that are here.

>>5844228
Thanks ^w^ I'll look them up.

>>5844291
I mean I am new.....
I've had bad experiences with tumblr in general. I don't have much hope for the black trans community there.
>>
>>5844324
Girl what could you have done to piss off black tumblr? Unless you were caping some dumbass you're fine.

Really just try and work it out, black Tran tumblr is really supportive of one another.
>>
>>5844291
LMAOOOOO
yeah girl you know!

i need to get deep into black trans tumblr, i have tumblr, but i'm stealth in my regular life, and my tumblr reflects that :s
i should probably just out myself on my tumblr though

>>5844324
>I've had bad experiences with tumblr in general. I don't have much hope for the black trans community there.
????????????
>>
>>5844507
Wait, are you the light skin girl who'd flag me down on /black/ on /soc/ ?
>>
>>5844556
uhhhhh
i'm light, and i talk to you here on lgbt sometimes (mtfg and gaygen), but never on /soc/
there are black people threads on /soc/?
i mean i'm talking to gudit, right? lol
>>
>>5844638
Gaaaaaaag! Like delete this! we don't talk about dead tripnames.

You posted part of your face on /black/ a long time ago and then we chatted before you light weight clocked T.

I'm here too, though I'll never post a pic.

You're being pretty ridiculous though. Just because there are retarded poltards and edgy trolls around doesn't mean black trans people should go into hiding.

Besides, we're fucking trannies. We're all seen as worthless degenerates no matter what race we are.
>>
>>5844664
I'm not saying we should go into hiding, just that it's dumb to ask 4chan for positive black anything advice and that the best people are mostly elsewhere
>>
>>5844680

I don't get why are you here then? If you know the place is shit why are you here?

And isn't gudit the non passing transchick that dates gay men and lives in NY?
>>
>>5844680

Also I google "black trans tumblr" and couldn't find anything aside porn blogs and trans dudes.

Are you shitposting gudit?
>>
>>5844694
I don't come here asking white people about black anything, I don't trip anymore and don't go on /lgbt/ often because I think the board culture and myself kind of changed you know? Why need /LGBT/ when you're surrounded by community daily? Still go on other boards though.

Also I pass with some effort although I prefer androgyny and don't ever want to date "trans attracted" men EVER again so I date Queer dudes. less drama/less of a chance they've fucked people I know

>NY
Wow, it has been awhile huh?

Anyways I feel the Black trans community can better support black trans people seeking black trans advice.
>>
>>5844717
No it's a "corner" of tumblr, it's not a site.

it's like saying black twitter.
>>
>>5834824
I've got a similar dilemma though, my main issue comes down with actually transitioning... I definitely have dysphoria and I'd more than likely be happier as a female but, I'm a pragmatist first and foremost. Long term I feel like being a triple minority is going to limit my options dramatically. Anyone else struggle with this?
>>
>>5844723
black people could better support black people in all things. they're the main reason blacks need support to begin with.
>>
>>5844907
All fighting each other to get to the top instead of fighting the system.
>>
>>5844403
Not black tumblr. I don't know much about that area on tumblr.

>>5844507
I really don't know about black tumblr. I'm talking about SJWs on tubmlr saying trans are really just men, and men are evil and things of that nature.

>>5844723
Can you give me some blogs to follow?
Anyone here in general have any advice specifically about transitioning or passing then? Assuming we're all black trans. I'm still pretty masculine in how a view myself, and I think I could have better makeup skills if I learned. I'm leaning down on muscle and trying to do hip training though.
>>
White guy here, I think 4chan is overly offensive on purpose, everyone gets shit on here, mostly in a non serious manner, its a way of defeating the politically correct bullshit at places like tumble. Overall though I don't think most people here are racist, and the human body is the human body, transitioning is different for everyone, but there are certain things that are universally experienced among transsexuals no matter your race. To say that just because there are white people here as a majority that we are not a helpful resource or that we can't be trusted is just stupid, and paranoid. If you can't handle trolls then you shouldn't be on 4chan, I've posted a picture on /b/ before and was ripped to shreds by trolls, but that's what they do, they're trolls, if the negative opinion of some idiots on 4chan are going to derail your self esteem, then you need to find a new website to post at.
>>
>>5844991
More like fighting the system instead of just conforming to the system and succeeding like white people do
>>
Do black people feel as uncomfortable in an all white group as I do in an all black group? Its so weird and I feel like they are all judging me or hating because im white
>>
>>5845247
Personally, I'm a black person who was raised in a practically all white school, and not much around other black people. I feel comfortable in groups of all white people, but when I'm in all black groups I feel slightly uncomfortable because a lot of times I fell like I'm not "black" enough. Given that I've been called pretty much an oreo all my life when I left the private school.
