It's mainly about intersex but the plot has so many ftm and mtf psychological intricacies embedded

As I watched it, I never really saw it as a movie about sexuality. I mean, yeah, the woman transitions into a man, but I took that more as a way to facilitate the plot twist than to send a message about transsexuality.
If it WAS supposed to be a message about transsexuality, then I don't have any idea what it's trying to say.
