If anything i am strongly drawn to the emotional makeup of transwomen in terms of their obvious search for identity and the strong sense of self (despite what comes across on lgbt) it must take in committing yourself openly and fully in pursuit of their ideal state of being.
Of course this is all my own imprint of what i see as the ideal partner, and my interactions with transwomen have been extremely limited to say the least, but i feel like, if you elevate transattraction from simple, and degrading, fetish to defining sexuality there must be some aspect of inate attraction beyond the physical.

You can see a trans woman as both a trans woman and a woman. I can't speak for you, but guys generally like trans women because they have a penis fetish, even if they're otherwise heterosexual. Some guys probably also like trans women because they're a bit more androgynous, and androgyny can be very attractive on its own.
Trans women, like a lot of other women, usually want people to be attracted to their femininity though. Some will embrace their differences from cis women, but I don't think most will.
And I think that's a bit tragic. It leads these poor girls on to an eternal treadmill where they might always feel inadequate compared to other women. It's super difficult because of dysphoria, but I think it's possible for a trans woman to accept that a man can love and cherish her and be attracted to her not in spite of her differences, nor because of them.
