Would it be better and honest if instead of "sex change" you guys would actually use "sex reattribution"?
Well, to be fair, the clinical term is "sex reassignment", which is fairly close to what you're saying. "Sex change" is more slang than anything.

Sex change is a kind of slang thing. I mostly see it in Hollywood and shitty news reports. Doctors won't give you a 'sex change', just genital surgery. Sexual reassignment is a common term, as well as genital reconstruction.
