Just remember though, there's a chance you're may want to change majors so look into other fields of engineering (or other non-engineering fields). From what I've done wrong, I have to say in your first year please take it slow. You'll feel like you need to see everything, do everything and meet everyone. New things, new people and new ideas will come to you naturally if you aren't a shutin. Also this is just me, but join clubs that pertain to interests you don't have so you can learn new things. If you join an lgbt club or an [your ethnicity] club, you're going to be disappointed.
