I think we need to address this as a community /lgbt/ - a lot of people here are marauding around as transgender and trolling. Enough is enough. I’ve made a definitive list of who qualifies as transgender. If you don’t fall within this list, you are NOT transgender and should consider not posting as transperson anymore.
You ARE transgender if:
* You had gender dysphoria since early childhood (3-7 years old)
* A licensed psychologist diagnosed you with GID during that time, up to 12 years of age
* You feel no fear from walking outside in “girl mode” because you are a girl
* You transitioned before puberty without the need of artificial hormone blockers
You are NOT transgender if:
* You were depressed and “discovered” your dysphoria in your teenage years or mid-twenties (or later)
* You went to a gender therapist instead of an actual psychologist for GID analysis and diagnosis
* You ordered meds online and circumvented medical science
* You took a quiz online to determine if you were trans
* You took internet advice to determine if you were trans
* You transitioned older than 14 years old

Though my dad did OFFER to a couple of times with some time in between each time, but he never took me since I always said I didn't need one.

Now that you call attention to it, I guess it wouldn't fit the exact criteria of depression. I just used it in the vernacular sense without realizing. Now what I actually was, even at eight years old, extremely negative in outlook, misanthropic (I even knew the word then), socially reclusive, generally unable to relate to those in my age group, anxious over the future (environmental and personal), hateful, and a bit edgy. Regardless of whether depression is the right word for what I had at the time, I was too odd to have been left alone by the mental health profession, don't you think?
