mtf here. A lot of my cis friends are into anime, and I tried getting into it myself. I really did. It's just not my thing. The only anime I've ever watched to completion was Kids on the Slope and that's only because I really like jazz and it's not inane.
A lot of trans anime fans aren't really trans. They just want to become their animu waifus/husbandos. Sex changes are more of a fetish to them than anything, one they'll most likely regret sooner or later.
So the fact that you don't like anime is a good sign.
