Asexuality usually denotes lack of sexual attraction, not necessarily lack of sex drive. She could very well have a normal sex drive but be completely unattracted to other people so she just uses sex toys

I actually learned that term on AVEN, and I think it was used there even before tumblrqueers were really a thing. The concept originated in the earliest online asexual communities which considered ONLY nonlibidoists to be "true" asexuals. AVEN promoted the sexual attraction definition and came up with the "non-libidoist" definition to describe people who don't get aroused.
