No, since we developed kevlar we've become immune to pretty much all bladed weapons, only certain primitive tribes are still vulnerable to blades. Most of humanity is completely invulnerable to anything less than an intermediate rifle cartridge. That's why we haven't had a global war in decades, it's just not profitable since it's become so expensive to kill an average soldier.
