What is the difference between a "bedside" gun and an "HD" gun? Especially if you're like me and you store your HD gun near your bed.

i live in a small cabin, so if i hear boom boom crash i may not have time to get up, open the closet, grab and rack the shotgun. i can go from asleep to pistol trained on the doorway in ~3 seconds. if i hear someone fucking around outside or fiddling with my door/window i'll grab the mossberg

I've always used the terms interchangeably
But bedside implies a handgun. And hd gun implies a long gun.
